Desperate Housewife

Lilac.

First of all, thanks for your comments! I finally picked the purple ones from their flagship store in Norrmalmstorg, one of the 5 magic Studios where their Scandinavian style is spread around the world.

I actually L O V E D the interiorism. It felt relaxing and arty, no loud music but books spread around, simple price tags underneath the soles, no logos whatsoever apart from a shiny red Zaha Hadid and a jeanish Lanvin.

Having tried all the flat sandals in the shop:
Felt like having a broken ankle. Nice but I'm not quite sure these are good for your blood circulation.
This design is the best I've seen in quite a long time. The blue piece you can seeon the right is the actual sole that comes up and becomes part of the sandal: All in ONE piece, like the MacBookAir!
But still the rubber on the ankle didn't look that lovely when worn.

So it was clear that spring comes in lilac at least for me. Extremely comfortable while a bit too closed, hope they hug my ankles as they deserve along the walks I love - around 10-20km!

The nicest came while paying, just when I mentioned how awesome did my delicate feet feel in them the assistant smiled, telling me that how great it to hear that feedback. Seems that the guys on the workshop had struggled to get gentler soles than last year's and since they have direct contact with them, she'll forward my ratification.

What a long story! I just wanted to highlight how right to the point it is this strategy. Collecting customer's perceptions, to make the most out of them, as a feedback for product improvements is a lesson to be learnt by many unsuccessful - or not as shiny as they could - businesses.

Fashion Doubt.

I love walking down the sun but my feet are EXTREMELY sensitive so flat sandals are really to hard to spot. I'm allergic to leather so, suede works only for my skin - some types of leather do not hurt either though it's hard to be 100% sure before tryin'...

I've spotted these lavender sweeties, from Acne and would like to hear what you think of them.

I do also like these, as they are not that closed. However, they have a leather lining and don't look as cool, right?Which ones would you take?

Hornstull Strand Etablissement.

Keep seats and flowers waiting for when I'm dead. Sun's shining so let's take a Sunday Walk!
After some sightseeing in da SoFo stores we took our 10km around my beloved island, Söder.

Some strength in the Nystektströmming rolls @Sodermalmstorg - basically grilled herring served with mashed potato, lettuce, créme fraîche, leek and parsley all rolled in soft tunnbröd or partenered with knäckebröd.

Hornstulls Strand. Here we came after a while (5km under the sun and more-twister-than-breeze spring wind). One of the bathing areas in the city - don't know who dares, Baltic waters are dark and chilly - where some interesting parties are thrown so let's discover Hornstull Strand Etab: A meeting place, restaurant, concert and club spot at Hornstull.

The guy upstairs tries to sell hotdogs but he's a tough time competing with this delightful menu to enjoy around mirrors while chillin' down the sunshine.

500m of mirror-covered wall give the light that Swedes love - and miss so much along the LONG winter - to the open-area.

Interiorism is far from disappointing though, pretty much the opposite.

Nordic illustration on the walls, sexy scandinavian furniture in the club.

Sunshine unfortunately shows less that awesome bands around there.

We'll soon be back, but let's go on with the Southern Arcadia!

Hammarby Sjöstad.

We made it up to Hammarby Sjöstad, the super eco-city in Stockholm built where an industrial area used to pollute around the so-called, Hammarby Model.

Everybody who lives in Hammarby Sjöstad is a part of an eco-cycle. The eco-cycle solution in Hammarby Sjöstad is called the Hammarby Model and handels energy, waste, sewage and water for both housing and offices.

The model
has been developed by Fortum, Stockholm Water Company and the Stockholm Waste Managemant Administration.

The goal is to create a residential environment based on sustainable resource usage. Energy consumption and the waste production will are to be minimized while the resource saving, reusing and recycling are maximized.

[Some info in Spanish]

Seals do swim there.
And Swedish kids forget their sweet beanies during spring games - Told ya' whenever a glove/beanie is lost, someone will carefully take it from and the floor and leave it there, so the owner comes after his steps and finds it!

Gracias.

A dejar cosas sin terminar, que a fin de cuentas soy humana, without dramas about it.

Ancient Agora.

Days are chilly in Stockholm but rather than complaining about the non-existent spring - -3ºC last night, 0ºC when waking up... - It's better to focus on my dance classes and recall the great time in Athens.

This is the story of a Saturday when, without a clue - apart from Lonely Planet - about where the party's in da city, I decided to ask the DJ of the rave shopping center. Lucky me, I got two indications: Mamakas for booze, déli and deep house right before Villa Mercedes, aka the best club in town. Satisfied with the info, we headed to the tourist route... Getting to the calm Ancient Agora.

Knowledge.Olives.
Chocolate-filled Κουλούρι.

And Pakis, everywhere ;P

Nobody imagines the extent to which I miss that warmth, the calm breeze, the sun on my face. It's weird but I phisical- and mentally felt much better there!

Just one week to get to Amsterdam and a weekend of bittersweet farewells on target.

Hadrian's Arch.

The Roman Emperor Hadrian erected Hadrian's Arch in AD 132, to commemorate the consecration of the Temple of Olypian Zeus. Nothing fancy about that but the fun comes in when, being the dividing point between the ancient and the Roman city, inscriptions were written in both sides, indicating whether it was 'Athens, the Ancient City of Theseus' or 'The city of Hadrian and NOT of Theseus'

Just a step from the Arch, Zappeio Gardens become the lung of this white city. I personally didn't care much about the Palace but to lie on its stairs and take a nap, under the sun. No matter how surrealistic it sounds, we'd forgotten how it feels that warmth on your body, how relaxed and happy you turn, how nice it is to just sit under the sun and chill. So please, whenever you are able to, make the most out of the great weather - as many of us can't enjoy it that often!

Greek Traffic Lights

Seems that mummy loved The Greek Dogs' Series, hope you all like this about how short traffic lights are. No matter how much you rush, it's impossible to cross the road without having to walk facing a red light!

Acropolis.

Monumental.
These 12€ are the best inversion for a tourist willing to discover ancient secrets.

Life is a Theatre. And Dionysos, my favourite god.

Parthenon.

Have you ever faced something you had seen so many times, something you've heard of or even taken exams about? When you actually walk around to discover how actually amazing things are, every memory pops up and all of the sudden, mentally, you picture yourself within that old history book, listen the harp and those philosopers who managed to change the world.

I'm in LOVE with Greece.

They knew what counted for a man. Mind and... You see it, right?

Erechtenion, with its six iconic Caryatids, stands on the Acropolis' most sacred spot, where, in a contest for the city, Poseidon struck the ground with his trident producing a spring of water and Athena, in turn, produced the olive tree (guess who won)

I've just fallen in love but still, I do miss my roots. Greeks are just like Spanish - no kidding ZARA, Bershka a.s.o. have sites there selling with Spanish tags - but using a different alphabet.
