Ancient Agora.

Days are chilly in Stockholm but rather than complaining about the non-existent spring - -3ºC last night, 0ºC when waking up... - It's better to focus on my dance classes and recall the great time in Athens.

This is the story of a Saturday when, without a clue - apart from Lonely Planet - about where the party's in da city, I decided to ask the DJ of the rave shopping center. Lucky me, I got two indications: Mamakas for booze, déli and deep house right before Villa Mercedes, aka the best club in town. Satisfied with the info, we headed to the tourist route... Getting to the calm Ancient Agora.

Knowledge.Olives.
Chocolate-filled Κουλούρι.

And Pakis, everywhere ;P

Nobody imagines the extent to which I miss that warmth, the calm breeze, the sun on my face. It's weird but I phisical- and mentally felt much better there!

Just one week to get to Amsterdam and a weekend of bittersweet farewells on target.

Hadrian's Arch.

The Roman Emperor Hadrian erected Hadrian's Arch in AD 132, to commemorate the consecration of the Temple of Olypian Zeus. Nothing fancy about that but the fun comes in when, being the dividing point between the ancient and the Roman city, inscriptions were written in both sides, indicating whether it was 'Athens, the Ancient City of Theseus' or 'The city of Hadrian and NOT of Theseus'

Just a step from the Arch, Zappeio Gardens become the lung of this white city. I personally didn't care much about the Palace but to lie on its stairs and take a nap, under the sun. No matter how surrealistic it sounds, we'd forgotten how it feels that warmth on your body, how relaxed and happy you turn, how nice it is to just sit under the sun and chill. So please, whenever you are able to, make the most out of the great weather - as many of us can't enjoy it that often!

Greek Traffic Lights

Seems that mummy loved The Greek Dogs' Series, hope you all like this about how short traffic lights are. No matter how much you rush, it's impossible to cross the road without having to walk facing a red light!

Acropolis.

Monumental.
These 12€ are the best inversion for a tourist willing to discover ancient secrets.

Life is a Theatre. And Dionysos, my favourite god.

Parthenon.

Have you ever faced something you had seen so many times, something you've heard of or even taken exams about? When you actually walk around to discover how actually amazing things are, every memory pops up and all of the sudden, mentally, you picture yourself within that old history book, listen the harp and those philosopers who managed to change the world.

I'm in LOVE with Greece.

They knew what counted for a man. Mind and... You see it, right?

Erechtenion, with its six iconic Caryatids, stands on the Acropolis' most sacred spot, where, in a contest for the city, Poseidon struck the ground with his trident producing a spring of water and Athena, in turn, produced the olive tree (guess who won)

I've just fallen in love but still, I do miss my roots. Greeks are just like Spanish - no kidding ZARA, Bershka a.s.o. have sites there selling with Spanish tags - but using a different alphabet.

Rembetika.

- No sé...

Athens is full of lazy dogs which take a break whenever and wherever regardless of race or employment - even police dogs did so in front of the Acropolis' entrance. Something to recall that you can't find in Lonely Planet.
