Bora Bora: Blue Lagoon

No filter.

The last hours in such a nice spot are sweeter when shared with a cute companion.

Good morning!

I see, it's breakfast time right?

Hm, you've been overboard lately. So better share a bit with me.

A shuttle bus later and we are ready to board, the boat that takes you to the overwater airport. Because everything is paradisiac in this place. Even the plane tracks.

These shades are surreal and seem retouched. Trust me. Straight beauty from the camera.

... and off we go!

This picture clearly illustrates what the lagoon consists of. Basically the lighter blue belongs to shallow waters, which are actually coral covered on sand. The edge of the atoll (in the left side) leads to a much darker blue, due to the drop-off in the coral reef. In the same way, darker blue shades appear between the motu (on the left) and the volcanic island (on the right) in the deeper waters in between the fringe coral and the atoll ring.

Last view to this magic island, right before we land on another amazing spot, the diving mecca of Rangiroa. What's the trick? In this case, there is NO island. Just a ring of coral in the middle of the Pacific.
