Ari Fridays - Frank mansion
Sometimes we go out - when we do it's hands down Levels, sometimes we stay in da hood. One of the best things about living in Ari is how of a lively area turns out to be - plenty of cafés, restaurants, bars with live music, small hipster gigs, massage, nails and tiny cute little shops - without the sensorial overload of traffic, hustlers and tourists that await in Sukhumvit. Just a very nice feeling to be able to reach places like Frank thorugh an uncompromising 2 min walk - let's see what the night has to offer.
Frank Mansion [WEB]
Address: Frank Mansion, 3-4/F, Ari One, Ari Soi 1, Bangkok, Thailand
Phone: 02-048-3225
Website: Frank Mansion
Opening hours: Mon-Sat 6pm-1am
The place is located at the top floor of A-one Ari in Soi 1, really close to Ari BTS.
While the space is big, it gets packed on Fridays. We spoke with one of the owners who claimed to be much calmer in Wed-Thu. The crowd is cool yet laid back, the kind of place where you can wear what you want and be welcome, as long as you're coming for a good time.
The band getting ready, they have several passes typically starting at 8PM.
Gotta love the industrial-cool look, concrete everythang!
We managed to score 2 seats at the bar, drinks were cool and so was the food - really good and tasty combinations, Jorge picked some pasta with salmon which was also really good, as my salad with nuts and the salmon tartare. Reasonably priced too, a bottle of red for 20EUR is quite good for Bangkok.
