5 year resident, to guide around the local wonders

If you ever come to Tokyo, there is something you shall not miss: Kamakura.

Just 40 minutes South of the City (700 JPY) it's perfect for some hiking, temples, buddha, nature, traditional cuisine, beach & hawaiian inspired stores & cafes. If that wasn't enough, even Obama was there (actually he apparently drank some matcha in the same place we happened to stop for lunch in our last visit :O )

Take a train to Kita Kamakura (Shonan-Shinjuku Line from Ebisu) and walk all the way down to Kamakura, the beach and the temple near the station. You won't regret. Every season has its own beauty: Fall colors, Winter Peace, Sakura and the blooming blue flowers after the rainy season.

The walk in the forest.

Breaking dishes, to stay away from bad spirits.
