Cherry Bloom「代々木の花見 」
Yoyogi Park「代々木」is located in the heart of Harajuku. Apart from being a local hub, for picnic and weekend outdoor life, it's a great spot for the cherry tree blossom watching aka hanami「花見」
Last weekend, I was tired, jet-lagged but simply… Couldn't miss this glimpse of beauty that only lasts for a week, almost missed because of my business trip. If you come to Tokyo, make sure to pay a visit, watch the real city life and the rockabilly on Sundays.
The lake is covered on a holy white blanket.
Hanami 「花見 」is about picnic under the cherry trees, lots of alcohol sometimes and friends. People take pictures over and over again, try to upload and fail miserably - as the network goes overload.
By far, the best with sakura is that you can find it all over the city, as a sign of the Spring popping up again - in the meanwhile, 2C in Stockholm.
