Are you up for a walk around?
Here's a MAP. We basically started in Schottenring and walked all the way, anti-clockwise. Comfy shoes, full battery and; good luck.
The city is buzzing with the labor day. Demonstrations occupy the streets while the park around Votivkirche is more of a celebration, with sun beds, picnic lunch and balloons as sported by Laura.
We continue to walk around the Ring and it's virtually impossible to get lost. When in doubt, follow the tram tracks.
First stop is the City Hall (Rathaus) which is a huge construction that also serves as party place (or it used to, when Enrique was ERASMUS in town).
Next is the Parlament, with its impressive golden decorations under the bright sun.
Follow the Ring, to arrive to those twin buildings separated by a lovely garden. One is the Museum of Natural History, the other of Art History. It's just the elephant marking the way.
Yes! We are coming to my favorite place in town. But since we talked about Museumsquartier [WEB] in the previous post, I won't do it again. Instead, just keep walking and enter the Hofburg or ultimate display of the Austrian Empire Power.
We entered the main church, that lovely Gothic building called Stephansdom. And followed up with the cute clock called Ankeruhr, that features all sorts of Saints and remarkable characters, from Joseph Haydn to Mother Theresa.
From there, short walk to the best place for lunch in town, Kunsthalle Cafe [WEB] with the occasional pose by the Opera.
We were very happy, with the handmade bracelets made by Laura, Leticia and Nelia at the train from Innsbruck.
Blanca enjoying the sun.
Nelia and Laura, enjoying too.
Leticia looking pretty as usual and me, almost blinded by the light.
We drank some lemonade which is very typical from Austria, apparently homemade.
And munched my favorite thing ever: GRILLED VEG!
Next stop, Belvedere. Another lovely walk for a Versailles-looking palace and garden.
Those of you following my instagram (@dontplayahate) have seen the funnier version of this shot.
They were tired, but there was one last stop...
Strandbar [WEB]
Located near Schwedenplatz, Strandbar is just perfect to spend the day as well as for some sunset mojitos. Remember to bring back the glass, as it's worth 1€ refund :D
We kept talking and talking and talking. Like good friends that just went through A LOT and have not seen each other for WAY TOO LONG.
When the sun goes down, this building is lit on deco rational patterns. Just to increase the chillax factor.

Lovely day, with my lovely girls (^_*)
