Do you remember the street from this post? This is it, but at night!
In big Asian cities, magic happens at night. When the concrete jungle becomes the colorful neon peacock, people leave their jobs, get drunk and have fun. Regardless of how many times I see this kind of show, my eyes continue to shine under this show, like they did the first time. These lights make me feel alive, as if I was again the girl with big dreams who moved to Tokyo 6 years ago.
At night, the backstreets are even cooler than during daytime. Narrower, filled with many more lights glimmering in your eyes.
The businesses in the backstreets are a bit sketchy, specially those located in the underground, like the EAT - PLAY - LOVE below.
But this is Asia, where shops, karaokes, prostitutes, convenience stores and restaurants line up, one after another.
One thing which is unique in Seoul, are these inflatable advertising poles, like the maneki-neko you see below. Depending on the kind of business, they may sit there during the whole day or just sit there at night, like the ones used for girls' bar - smart idea huh!!!
In the backstreets, typical Asian spots alternate with cool spaces, like the industrial space occupied by this café, often occupying the entire building.
Back at the Gangnam crossing (Gangnam-daero VS Teheran-ro), one corner has a cool tribute to Psy, gotta love the pink touch!!! OOOPANNNN!!!
From here, we enter the station... But we'll talk about that tomorrow.

It is interesting to post, and It is indisputable that clubs dominate the nightlife scene in Seoul, as even Korean celebrities and artists have been known to frequent clubs in Seoul. Therefore, party the night away at some of the most exclusive clubs in Gangnam.
